Our friend Ryan Murphy won a spot to compete at the 2012 USASA rail jam on the X-Games course in Aspen. One of the youngest competitors in the mix, Ryan held his own with a ton of solid moves and clean style. We caught up with him to get his 2-cents about his experience at the X-Games:
“The x games setup was sick, it was made by SPT(Snow Park Technologies) and most of the features were right off the streets such as a cement barrier and a storage unit. There were 20 riders from all over the US; most of them were much older than me but they were all cool. The course was a bit icy but it was fun and there were tons of lines to choose from. Getting to compete on the pro course was both exciting and challenging. The Academy propaganda board was great, it had the perfect amount of flex to lock onto the huge street rails and the perfect amount of pop to clear the gaps onto them. Overall it was a great experience and I had a great time representing Academy at the 2012 winter x-games!” said Ryan.
Congrats to Ryan for making it to the big stage and stoked to have him spreading the Academy love at X!
